BII Licencee of the year winner 2017

King Of The Castle ... The industry's toughest competition with a record number of entries was won by our very own.

The judges commended Mark for how he made every part of the site work, with a great food offered inside and outside the pub.

Mark & wife Claire took the tenancy on back in 2013 with Hook Norton Brewery and has described the Castle as a "destination venue" rather than just a pub.

After the event in front of fully packed audience of over 1000 guests, Mark said "I'm overwhelmed for myself and team", it's been a huge year for us, and I'm truly honoured.

BII Licencee of the year - down to the final 6

How exciting... I took a phone call last week, after months of interviews, account audits, mystery visits, to tell us the news we are down to the final 6 of the National BII Licencee of the year. This is the Oscars of our trade, and we are truly over the moon to be confirmed as a finalist at the prestigious awards ceremony in London on Tuesday 13th June.

This is a huge honour that myself and team are hugely proud of.

Thank you to all who have been part of our team over the last few years, and most of all our wonderful guests, who push us to continue to improve ourselves daily to offer the best Inn we can.

Warmest Wishes, Mark x
